Business of the year
This award is one of the highest accolades and will be presented to the business most able to demonstrate all-round achievement, a clear vision for the future, success against objectives, sustained growth and be a standard bearer for success in the White Cliffs Country.
Exporter of the Year
The Exporter of the Year Award is open to both novice and established exporters. The winner will demonstrate how exporting has significantly benefited the organizations’ profitability and strategy. The company must show outstanding achievement in driving forward export initiatives and orders.
Employer of the Year
The Employer of the Year will be given to the business that can best prove a genuine dedication to the development and welfare of their work force. The judging panel will concentrate on business culture, benefits, training and outstanding innovation in staff care and progression.
Customer Service Excellence Award
The Customer service excellence will be awarded to an organisation that continually exceeds customer expectations in all areas of their business. They must demonstrate a direct correlation between service and business success and have evidence of customer satisfaction.
Small Business of the Year
This award is open to any business that has five employees or less. The winner will be the business most able to demonstrate all-round achievement, sustained growth and a clear vision for the future.
New Business of the Year
The New Business of the Year Award is open to all ventures that have commenced trading within the past 24 months in the White Cliffs Country region. The winner will be the business that shows substantial growth, a clear vision for the future and consistent achievement of set goals and targets.
Sustainable Business of the Year
The sustainable business of the year is open to businesses that can demonstrate how they have embedded environmental and sustainability issues into their business. This can relate directly to the use of sustainable materials, reducing waste and energy use, reducing carbon emissions, use of sustainable suppliers, or indeed innovative ways of developing sustainability across business functions.
Young Business Person of the Year
The Young Business person of the Year Award is open to members of the business community in White Cliffs Country aged 30 and under. Entries can be by nomination or self nominated and must be able to provide evidence of using their initiative to successfully operate in business and demonstrate either entrepreneurial skills or collaborative work within a business, or through an apprenticeship.
Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is open to individuals who have had a significant commercial impact on the White Cliffs Country. The individual should have had involvement in shaping any aspect of the area’s business economy and be able to demonstrate outstanding commitment and contribution to the region. It is possible for people to be nominated by others or to enter themselves.
Outstanding Contribution to Tourism
The award recognises an organisation that is an integral part of White Cliffs Country’s tourism industry. This award will be presented to the organisation demonstrating huge capacity to deliver a diverse, memorable, and vibrant visitor experience, ranging from regeneration, visitor attitude initiatives and the evening economy , to tourism Innovation projects, and accommodation.
